From the 1950’s to the early 2000’s people would quote movies like terminator “Ill Be Back”, Gone with the wind “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”, and even The Godfather “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.” just to name a few.
Now we use memes and sounds to do the same. In fact I might argue its a more streamlined way to convey an idea. Using a meme sound compares the current topic or situation to about 10,000 other videos of people in the same exact situation. Making it more effective at situational alliteration.
